About this test
An EEG records the electrical activity of the brain through small sensors on the scalp. It is commonly advised for seizures, episodes of blackout or unexplained changes in behaviour.
The test is painless. Home EEG is especially helpful for children, elderly patients and people who cannot travel easily.

How to prepare
- Wash your hair the night before; no oil, gel or spray
- Avoid caffeine on the test day unless your doctor says otherwise
